About Artist:
My name is Khadija Atiq. I am 13 years old and a Grade 7 student at Beaconhouse AITC. I enjoy drawing and creating art.
Artist Statement:
This painting was inspired by the Brooklyn Bridge. I wanted to capture the reflection of its architecture and beautiful image.
Mixed Media Art:
Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.
