Artist Name: Muhammad Umer
About Artist:
I’m Muhammad Umer, a passionate Art and Design student with a strong love for creative expression. Specialising in 3D art, I actively participate in competitions to challenge and refine my skills. My artistic journey began at the age of eleven, when I started sketching, and I’ve since filled over twelve sketchbooks with my work. Currently studying Art and Design at A Levels, I’m continuously developing my craft. Throughout my journey, I’ve built an extensive portfolio of paintings, each reflecting my growth, creativity, and dedication to the arts, with a focus on capturing both realism and imagination.
Artist Statement:
This 3D installation marks our school’s 50th anniversary, embodying the theme of structure, light, and reflection in architecture. A wooden lighthouse cut-out stands tall, symbolising guidance and strength, much like the school has been a beacon for students over five decades. A golden ribbon spirals down from the top, representing the light of knowledge illuminating our paths, flowing into a graduation cap at the base, holding a degree within a symbol of achievement and future possibilities.
Blue light radiates from the base, reflecting on the surfaces, highlighting how light interacts with structure, shaping our experiences. The installation celebrates the school as a guiding light, reflecting on the past while illuminating the future for generations to come.
