Mindful fulfillment

Maheer Ali

The monk is one of those who follow the teachings of Buddha, who preached that true happiness or peace of mind is achieved by detaching oneself from craving and external desires He accepts reality for what it is without interference of mental constructs by man. This signifies the power of meditation, the ability to acknowledge what one already has, the monk’s face shows it, he knows that things don’t fall apart, they fall into place. When you connect with oneself it leads you to the purpose of your presence, being connected with nature. He can slow down and appreciate the systems of the world. The emphasis of this project is that mindfulness and happiness go hand in hand, when you look for all the answers within, finding peace and tranquility leading towards ultimate happiness.

Artistic bliss

Hamnah Asad

Amidst a vividly glitching background, a young girl's laughter echoes like a melody, radiating an infectious joy that transcends the digital tapestry around her. Each burst of mirthful giggles seems to splash vibrant hues across the pixelated chaos, creating a mesmerizing juxtaposition of spontaneity and artistry. The glitching colors dance and warp, forming an abstract canvas of emotions that mirror the girl's exuberant spirit. As she revels in the moment, her laughter becomes a beacon of happiness, inviting others to join in the playful symphony of delight.

Light of the happiness within

Maheen Zohaib

My artwork was mainly inspired by the saying that smiles are contagious, in which the art piece depicts the brightness of a smile with literal light. The lady in the middle was painted in with predominantly warm colors such as yellow and orange, this decision was taken by me because warmth is is usually the feeling which is associated with a smile. All of the other people are in different colors due to their other emotions which can be seen through their eyes and other parts that are not hit by the light. When the light reaches them they are smiling and spreading happiness too.

Expressions of Evil Happiness

Hania Hamayyun

This particular master piece shows how happiness is not always bright and colourful, it can be dark and mysterious. Also that expressions of happiness are not always worn by the heros, they can be shown on the monster's face. I want to express the unpopular opinion of evil happiness. This art piece conveys how evil wears the expressions of happiness. As an audience of horror movies I can confirm that the monsters always have happy expressions and the broadest smiles.

"Moments of Pure Joy"

Zaara Antaria

I have used mixed mediums in this particular artwork, including Oils, acrylics, markers, color pencils etc. My piece represents the moments of joy that slips away in the blink of an eye, when we can just be ourselves without any judgements, moments we wish we could re-live. My piece captures the joy of young Vietnamese siblings who used large leaves as umbrellas while they played in the rain and hid under the shades of the nature around them as their enjoyment was recorded as core memories for the future without them even realizing. Such little joyous moments are what creates wholesome memories and experiences for all of us. Often, after a certain age, simple emotions, especially excitement and happiness are labelled childish to people, which is completely absurd, those human emotions, expressions of happiness are what lights up the dull world. That one moment is captured here which would last till eternity.

Whispers of Serenity

Hania Aamir

In a realm where smiles whisper in petals embrace, a girl stands draped in the ethereal. Flowers, vibrant and resplendent, cascade upon her, heralding growth and the profound joy found in natures embrace. Butterflies delicate dancers of transformation, alight upon her path, whispering of freedom and the metamorphosis of the soul. Though her lips do not part in a smile, her gaze holds a serene reflection of happiness, and inner flame of contentment and gratitude. This artwork speaks of the quiet joy that transcends mere expressions, revealing a truth that happiness blooms in the depths of the heart. With the digital brush as my instrument, I painted this ode to evoke contemplation. Each stroke and hue were meticulously crafted to weave a tapestry of emotions, inviting viewers to embrace the subtle nuances of joy. May this artwork serve as a reminder to seek beauty in the stillness, to find solace in the symphony of nature, and to celebrate the profound happiness that blooms within.

Ecstasy in Every Smile: A Celebration of Happines

Zoya Ahmad

Using a vibrant palette of gouache, I sought to encapsulate the delicate essence of the Melody Queen, Noor Jahan. This portrait stands as a tribute to her enduring legacy, which effortlessly captivates even young listeners like myself with its soulful expression. Whenever I listen to Noor Jahan's music, I find a familiar sense of comfort that brings me happiness, thanks to the depth and emotion conveyed through her soulful expression.

THE MOST USED EXPRESSION OF HAPPINESS

Monis Khan

I created my artwork with colored pencils , acrylic paints and markers.in my artwork you can see a shabby, sad and crying woman putting on a happy face mask and taking a selfie on her phone in which she herself is seen clean, pretty and smiling. This represents the fake happiness most of the people use. My drawing is also inspired by studies which says that people who act or show themselves as happy on social media are most likely to be sad. People pretend to be happy due to unsure circumstances.Maybe it is due to pressure or being like to pretend what they want to be , in this case happy

Nature

Warda Asif

This piece reflects that true happiness comes in the company of nature. There are multi-colored flowers which are the harbinger of spring. There is a peacock which is a symbol of power, strength, confidence, and even divinity, Being in nature reduces anger and stress and induces pleasant feelings. Exposure to nature not only makes you feel happy, it also contributes to one's physical wellbeing. Human happiness lies in the beauty of nature. I began by cutting cardboard in the shape of a photo booth. I then proceeded to make a couple flowers out of paper. I then crafted a peacock and glued these art pieces onto the booth.

Poppy Flower Painting

Emaan Khan

My Poppy Flower painting, crafted with thread, wood, paper, acrylic and poster paints, salt, metal thumbprints, and glue stick techniques, symbolizes peace, resilience, and culture. The varied materials create a multi-dimensional and textured effect, representing the complexities of these themes. Acrylic and poster paints add vivid colors that evoke emotions, while the use of salt results in organic patterns, mirroring the unpredictable nature of peace and the transformative power of resilience. Layering and stenciling techniques add depth, symbolizing the layers of cultural diversity.

Simple Pleasures

Soha Ali

For me, happiness has always been intertwined with love which has inspired me to create this piece that speaks of my passion for the little joys in life. Luxury or extravagance never piqued my happiness; rather, it was the simple pleasures that made me smile, like in this self-portrait, which encapsulates all the things that excite me. The white frock is an ode to my everlasting love for wearing dresses and feeling like the best version of myself. The flowers represent my adoration for nature yet the reason for choosing sunflowers is the colour yellow, which is my mother’s favourite. And lastly, the beach, my favourite place to be at. The feeling of warm sand beneath my toes and the sea which stretches infinitely, sparkling under the sun, is parallel to paradise. Hence, surrounded by the things I love and the people I cherish is when I feel incandescently happy.

New expressions

Momina Sajjad

My masterpiece depicts a landscape of a boat dock in china, where families travel through boats. It is a lovely and happy sight. It shows two kids, or friends waving to each other as the other one is leaving for his new home. It is a sign of friendship and happiness/peace between them. So I decided to make this for the theme “expressions of happiness” I used very vibrant colours, mostly yellow as it depicts joy. Friendship gives true happiness, because when you have a real friend you have all their love.. The kids look very expressive and happy in the picture.

Vania Aasir

I painted the artwork with watercolors which are the perfect medium for painting something full of liquid joy. "Serenity in Bloom" captures an enchanting scene of sheer happiness and tranquility. In this delightful painting, a charming cottage house stands nestled amidst majestic mountains that stretch into the distance. The foreground features a magnificent blossom tree in full bloom, its delicate petals exuding a sense of vibrancy and life. The landscape is bathed in warm, golden sunlight, casting a serene glow over the entire setting. The harmony between the picturesque mountains, the blossoming tree, and the cozy cottage evokes a profound feeling of joy and contentment, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature's embrace and embrace the moment of pure happiness.

Cheerfulness of juvenility

Noor Al Haya

My artwork was specifically created with regard to my own personality! It is a portrait of me and demonstrates my lifelong fascination with the natural world and the arts. With a combination of flowers, I've used a variety of vivid colours to blend it smoothly with the background. The picture, in my opinion, captures a child's "true happiness" when they experience the beauties of nature as children, and appreciate those experiences for the rest of their lives, cherishing the memories. It conveys a deep meaning of childhood serenity and demonstrates love for God's creation. In order to portray the mixed media, abstract piece, I used a newspaper. I also used a colour scheme, utilizing lighter colours for the portrait and darker colours for the outlining and brightness. The Wide smile and serene expression are the actual expressions of happiness and admiration for the captivating beauty, respectively. The art in itself reminds me of my childhood, exploring from place to place, happily with never ending interest, the exquisite happiness, everything seemed like a dream!

A simple way of expressing happiness is by showing kindness. Small acts of kindness can help a person feel lighthearted and happier. Such small acts include helping other people who are in need. Expression of happiness through kindness can spread love around the people and connect them as well.

Nature brings us joy in countless ways. The vibrant colors of flowers and majestic sunsets fill our hearts with awe and wonder. The gentle rustling of leaves and the chirping of birds create a soothing melody that puts our minds at ease. The fresh scent of rain and the crisp air after a storm invigorate our senses. Observing wildlife in their natural habitats teaches us the beauty of diversity and reminds us of our interconnectedness with all living beings. Whether we are exploring a lush forest, strolling along a sandy beach, or simply gazing at the starry night sky, nature never fails to inspire and uplift our spirits. Overcoming Obsessions

Zainab Ahmer

About myself: Hello, my name is Zainab Ahmer. I'm from JTCG and 14 years old. I've started arts at the time of lockdown in search of new hobbies and grasped the medium of Digital Arts! About my art piece: What I've drawn here is a mixture of my childhood happiness.. The things I've spent my childhood doing such as watching cartoons, playing games and learning how to draw etc. The houses represent the 3 things that were really important to me back then (my coloring kit, my skates, cartoons). The Clouds in the background are slowly covering those houses because I believe I've grown over to like those 3 things, the Hot air balloons in the sky represent how I'm finally letting go of my past obsessions.

Mask of Happiness

Jules Mathew E. Rabino

One of the ways we may express our happiness is by smiling, not just a simple smile, but a broad smile that transforms the shape of our eyes. My artwork was inspired by the "Masskara Festival" in the Philippines, which is held in the Bacolod City province of Negros Occidental. Furthermore, this city is known as the "City of Smiles". The festival created to bring smiles back to the inhabitants' faces despite the difficulties and tragedies they experiencing. Lastly, I used materials that is available in our home. I included vibrant elements in the design to make it more vivid.

A Piece Of Mind.

Hafsa Khisal

As simple and self explanatory as this piece may seem, each segment carries mass significance toward the Definition of happiness. From the silhouettes of the windmill to the loving contact of a mother deer with her young. Flowers and greenery not only populate their hooves, but brush by their faces describing and enhancing what pure bliss would feel. The picture shows a balance of environment. As lovely as a glorious morning, kisses the deers as they embrace, a tree provides shade, a relaxing atmosphere. Balanced. Seeing this painting, our focus arrives on the happy deer, a comforting union. Happiness exists in many forms. Many describe it as an upfront emotion of joy, whereas people with a peace of mind will find it anywhere and everywhere. That wise mindset is what the bundle of saffrons represents, hidden behind the tree. They cherish the hidden feeling. Whereas people that rush in the world, shut it off, and anticipate the happiness of the deer. However the happiness isnt limited to the deer, it's everywhere, around it's feet, up the hill. Oh you can even see a pair of bunnies. Joy is complex, it's anywhere and everywhere.

I decided on this art piece because it is something that I'm used to drawing as I always seek something around me that motivates me and gets my creative thoughts running. Aspects of happiness

Kaneez e Zainab

This masterpiece is a true representative of how I "express my happiness." Arts, books, and music have always been my companion. Although I love realistic portraits, I also enjoy the creativity of abstract art. Hence the two aspects of this masterpiece. Solitude brings out my inner admirer of poetry and books, so I have hinted at my faint admiration for that in the top left corner. I made the piece rather colorful and bright using brush markers and watercolors. To give the work an aesthetic look, I have used rhinestones and flowers to adorn the rather bland areas. Lyrics of my favorite songs were written on a separate paper in an ancient style of writing. I have shown that emptiness by leaving areas blank, and the black and white pattern contrasts the overall freestyle look, adding more to this aspect. This piece was made with great detail, and I kept everything in mind. I gave the book writing a faint impression uniquely. I created a pastel background. I taped a page of an old book for a few hours and then washed away the paper. The ink shifted to the tape, and then I taped it on the pre-painted background. I used the backside of wrapping paper and wrote the lyrics on that.

Atelier

Qaneeta Zainab

Artists experience happiness when they have the freedom to explore their ideas and express themselves authentically. An art studio should provide a space where artists feel empowered to experiment, take risks, and follow their creative instincts, so that they can tap into their true artistic potential and experience a sense of joy and fulfillment. The miniature model of an art studio is a cozy haven filled with an atmosphere of creativity and wonder. As you step inside, you're greeted by shelves adorned with tiny furniture, dioramas, and delicate miniature objects, all meticulously crafted with incredible precision. The studio is designed to maximize inspiration and productivity, with ample natural light streaming in through large windows, illuminating the space and highlighting the intricate details of the miniatures. The walls of the studio are adorned with shelves displaying an array of tools, brushes, and art supplies, neatly arranged and easily accessible for the artist's creative endeavors. Tiny drawers and cabinets house an extensive collection of miniature materials, from delicate beads and threads to tiny pieces of wood and metal. The artist's work desk is a treasure trove of creativity, scattered with papers, where side by side the easel and the art rack filled with a range of materials from mini canvases and watercolor sheets to paints and cloth all handmade. Similarly, a lawn can serve as an additional workspace for artists who prefer to work outdoors. Having a lawn provides artists with the opportunity to work directly in nature, allowing them to incorporate the surrounding environment into their artwork.

Sweet Joys of Summer

Zarwa Yasin Ch

My name is Zarwa Yasin Ch and I am currently in O Levels. In this drawing you can see that the women have adorned themselves greatly. It is because they are not only celebrating their beauty but also celebrating a special day. I attempted to portray the atmosphere of jubilant cheer that such festive occasions entail. This is the expression of happiness known as Celebration. Mangoes have become a motif in the drawing. The Summer season is a lovely time when mangoes thrive, and bring sweetness to many homes. The experience of drinking mango juice or eating mangoes brings the joyful expression of Pleasure. I sectioned the drawing to showcase the experience of eating mangoes in a desi home, and how wide our smiles naturally become when we eat something delicious. The expression of Relief also brings of jubilance. In the sweltering heat of Punjab, anyone would welcome the cooled and sweet local fruit ,as a source of respite from the sun's glare. I chose a retro Punjabi theme, and took inspiration from the accounts of my mother and grandmother to create the room and the women inside it. My grandmother used to incessantly wear saris, this is why two of the women are wearing ornate saris. My mother used to have a radio when she was in college. I added it in the drawing because music is also a kind of happiness. The flowers on the borders are the Lily of The Valley, Jasmine and Yellow Chrysanthemum. Each of these have meanings closely related to happiness. One of the women is holding a yellow chrysanthemum as well. I used a variety of different inks and some coloured pencils to colour this drawing.

Power of positivity

Zarah Mudassar

My installation depicts the value and power of happy expressions. The center box represents life, black boxes depicts hardships and joys of life whereas beige depicts happiness and joys of life. Both face sculptures symbolize the power of happy expressions, the idea behind this circumstances victimize the people, with the power of being positive and happy during hardships shreds all the hardships and negativity and further develops the happiness strongly in its surroundings. One sculpture is half covered with log pieces depicting negativity that can weigh us down and prevent us from experiencing happiness. The shredded and exposed part of face being smoothed depicts the power of positivity and happy expressions that overcome worries and shreds them away. After overcoming the darkness and sad mood the power of being happy can affect the people that surround you, this is depicted through the mirror pieces. Which when reflected to others can create impression of happy and joyful atmosphere around. Overall mirror fave leave a memorable and happy impression on others encouraging them to spread positivity and happiness to those around them. Joy in the little things

Marryam Kamal

Happiness, an emotion that can only be understood when we go through pain and sadness. My artwork depicts children who live in poverty and hunger, the pure joy they feel when they're given even the smallest amount of food. Even for the smallest of joys, they feel grateful. People who live in privilege like us can never know this pure unadulterated happiness, because we're far too caught up in our busy lives to truly appreciate the little things.

Live happily ever after

Ayesha Usman

It seems to depict a sense of community bonding and happiness, despite living conditions. While looking at the painting the viewer can observe the contrast between the dark, rundown houses and the warm, inviting glow of yellow lights. This contrast evokes a feeling of hope and resilience in the face of hardship. It shows that even in the most difficult of circumstances, people can find joy and happiness in small things. The fact that some of the houses are lit up with yellow light is significant. It suggests that even though the community is poor and underprivileged, they are still able to create a sense of warmth and happiness in their homes. The yellow may also signify the hope that the community has for a brighter future. Overall, this painting portrays a deep sense of community, resilience , and hope. It reminds us that even in difficult times , we can find happiness if we look for it in the right places!!

Loud Expression of Happiness

Maryam Usman

This painting depicts a girl who is fully immersed in a sea of vibrant colours, and she appears to be stuck inside them. Her arms are open wide, which add to the overall vibrancy of the piece. The girls face is painted with a loud expression of happiness, which hints that she is comfortable in her surrounding and embracing them fully. Her eyes are wide open as if she is soaking in everything around her and enjoying every moment. the colours used in the painting are particularly striking. There is a mix of bold bright hues like pink, yellow, and green as well as pastel colours, like blue and lavender. The overall effect of the colour combination is that of joyfulness and happiness. Overall this painting is an expression of joy and acceptance, inviting the viewer to embrace the surrounding with open arms, just like the girl in the painting.

Alegria y felicidad

Momina Noor

The sculpture I described represents the joyful expression of happiness through dance and music, which have been intertwined throughout human history as forms of expression and celebration. “Do not look onto success to create your happiness , look onto happiness to create your success” I named my sculpture “ Alegría y felicidad”its Spanish of joy and happiness Life is hard sometimes but making the way through it is the best way to seek happiness. Sometimes there is very little joy around you but that is enough for you to stay happy . The dancer’s pose conveys the joy and happiness in the surroundings thus ignoring the sorrow . Music sign symbolizes joy and good vibes. Dancing figure represents that the sculpture is enjoying the happiness around it. The strings represent rhythm of the life . They also represent that life around is full of joy and happiness . The fairy lights represent the little good things or happiness around us which we mostly ignore because we are too much tangled in our surroundings .The music that accompanies the sculpture is upbeat and energetic ,encouraging spectators to embrace their own happiness . Overall my art piece represents joy and reminds us to find happiness around us in every possible aspect of life

The Beauty Of Resilience

Leeza Ureen

When I saw the theme of this year art competition the first thing that came into my mind is the feeling of happiness and how staying happy and positive has helped me and many other people around the world to fight against all odds. Since I started painting my number one motive was to spread awareness the problems that are being faced around the world .I wanted my artwork to be the voice of the people in need. By this theme I made an artwork that shows the problems being faced by the people and kids in Somalia with 60 percent of population with poverty and undernourished problems and to African with 50 percent of population all facing the same issue. After doing all the research the one thing I learned about them was how they smile how happy they are despite their problems .the happiness in their eyes and smile shows their strength and power and there willingness to not give up. So in this artwork I have shown their smile and happiness as a symbol of strength. The bright colors used in the artwork shows positivity and the grey colour shows their struggles.i hope this art work spreads more awareness about how we all should stay happy and positive no matter now many problems we face.

Hues of Happiness

Maryiam Mahmood

Hues of happiness is an art installation depicted through multi-coloured face mask arranged with bright and vibrant coloured blocks with different shapes and few brushes are also placed along which is a unique way to express happiness. The use of bright colors and different shapes can represent the variety and diversity of emotions connected with happiness. The multi-coloured face mask can signify the many different emotions that contribute to the overall feeling of happiness. Additionally, the presence of brushes in the installation suggests the idea of creativity and self-expression, which are also essential elements of happiness. Overall, this installation sounds like a beautiful representation of happiness and the emotions that accompany it.

In the Atelier

Inayah Farheen Adil

My Digital Painting depicts the feeling of calm, comfort and happiness that a painter feels in their workspace. Every single brushstroke on the canvas is an outlet for us artists to express ourselves. The joy of completing an artwork that we're proud of cannot be experienced through anything else. Every painting that we make has a piece of us in it and every brushstroke is from the heart.

Happiness begins with peace

Amr Munim

I used a lot of material in this work, the green part is made from cotton and for this mixed media artwork, I also used acrylic, poster colours, watercolours, markers and oil paints. The dove is 3d which was made separately and pasted on the painting. My idea of happiness is that when there is inner peace or peace in general there you would find happiness. I have shown an area which is surrounded by clouds and it looks gloomy and dull. The dove here which is also a symbol of peace is flapping its wings and showering peace on the people of this area which can be seen with the streaks of colours. The people here have colourful faces which shows that they are happy because they are at peace and they all have different things to be happy about. So for me, an expression of happiness is when you are at peace and when you believe that have nothing to lose and you are satisfied.

Man Relaxing in his bed

M.Shaheer Sardar

My masterpiece shows how most people these days express their happiness by lying down comfortably in bed and watching T.V or reading some of their favorite novels. People these days need rest as the world is becoming more and more like a race and now the daily burden of work is so high that when finally one returns home they take a rest at all costs and this 3D model of mine represents the joy that rest brings. The way I made my model was by using an old soldier, a box in which a belt came, and some wood shavings, I dyed some old rough pieces of cloth to make the mans blanket and to make his pillows and even his books(The stack of three of them), I even had made him a T.V but the photo was to small to capture it but you can see it in the video (it was made from sticks and a wooden stand from a miniature suit of amour)There is also a small pot for a plant which was made from a plastic ice cream container and the plant inside is real. Hope it inspires the creativity of others.

Blind happiness

Simra Munim

Sometimes our life takes such turns that it feels like we have fallen into a big deep hole of infinite sadness and we feel powerless about how things have turned out. it's just not in our power that we can do anything about it which reminds us that we are humans. In such situations, we give ourselves hope that we will be eventually alright and in that state, all we have is our thoughts where we find the light within us which is sort of a fake happiness but it still is to ease us. In this work, a child who is blindfolded with sunflowers shows this action; how he is looking for hope and happiness in him even though he is surrounded by darkness. His fake happiness serves the purpose of making him happy although he knows it's fake and he can't change the situation is represented by the dry weary smiley faces around him.

Expression of happiness

Eshal Shaukat

This beautiful illustration I created embodies the profound bond between parents and children, showcasing the essence of happiness. From the moment I entered the world, my parent’s joy was boundless, evident in their beaming faces whenever I returned home from school. Their genuine happiness reflected their deep love and affection for me. Each stroke and color in the artwork conveys the tenderness and beauty of this unique bond. This illustration serves as a tribute to the joy parents derive from their children, reminding us of the warmth and happiness they bring into our lives. Despite any challenges they face, the worries and sadness of parents fade away when they see their child's innocent face and hear their laughter. Let this artwork be a celebration of pure happiness, capturing the radiant smiles, warm laughter, and moments of love that fill our hearts with bliss. In the illustration, parents sit on a floating ice block in a dark river, propelled by the light and sparkles of love for their child.
