Art allows me to express my thoughts and observations in a unique way, and I love exploring new ways to make my work more engaging and meaningful. Artist Statement:
This artwork creatively explores the theme of light and reflection in architecture through a mixed-media approach. The combination of newspaper collage, bold line work, and expressive brushstrokes adds texture and depth to the composition. The golden highlights on the buildings emphasise the way light interacts with architectural forms, creating contrast against the cool blue sky. The fragmented, layered background enhances the sense of movement, symbolising how reflections and light shape the urban landscape. This piece beautifully captures the dynamic relationship between structure, light, and texture.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
