Bazaar of my sister as a tornado..

Roomina Sajid

Description :

The city of my bazaar is an utter expression of a tornado of festivity and dullness. A place where ones can find solace, still keeping in regard the whole chaos a bazaar carries. Our Bazaar is filled with people who fight their inner despair to keep floating in the tornado of social pressure to acquire wealth and maintain status. Taking that idea into consideration, this installation is a representation of a tornado, with these figures floating in it showing how people are stuck in this net of societal pressure, at different heights to represent people from different statuses. Besides all this negativity, a bazaar is still full of joy and festivity e.g how some people find shopping relaxing, and this positivity of my bazaar is represented by these colourful lights, Showing an overall tornado of again festivity and dullness.
