Bazaar, Through a Young One’s Eyes

Zafar

Description :

My piece is based on the perspective of a bustling marketplace through the eyes of a child. It depicts busy customers, towering shops, a dusty breeze, and the child’s hand gripping that of their mother. Normally, my digital art consists more of drawings than paintings, so it’s safe to say that when I was painting this, the process was fairly tricky. Though I started out outlining every building and stall, the only line art that ended up in the final piece is the outline of the child and mother’s hands, and the fruit stand on the left. I often resorted to the marker tool, the blender tool, and the airbrush to get the more unpolished, chaotic feel of a bazaar and the softer feel of a painting. I think overall, though this was a pretty difficult piece to make, it was definitely good for building up my digital painting skills.
