Couleurs♡

Alaleh Kamal

Description :

This painting titled “Couleurs” is a french word which means colours. It shows the influence of the society on a person who grows up in it. You see, the background of this painting is abstract. The smaller flower has solid colours but the flower that has blossomed has various colours. This is because as the fully grown flower grew, it adapted to some of the colours from the society (abstract background represents society) and made the colours its own even though they weren’t originally found in the flower. The younger flower is still new so that is the reason for its plain colours. The same is with humans. While making this painting, I mostly used red and black but in the background I incorporated pastel colours. This painting makes me happy as it reminds me of all the great things I’ll be taking along in my life from my society.
