Fruit Bazaar

Karishma Moin

Description :

My art piece depicts the bright burst of colors found in a bazaar. My fruit bazaar is inspired by the historical Empress Market. The Bazaar has a variety of fruits and vegetables being sold, ranging from peaches to plums. It’s a small, cramped bazaar with little space to move around. To the right are stalls with roofs, in front of the clock tower there are bins and handcrafted bowls. Moving to the left side on the footpath an other fruit vendor is present. Over the span of two weeks I created three water color paintings, I finally combined them to form a collage. I have layered on cut outs of my induvial paintings. For the background I splattered bright colors, giving my piece a more lively look. I stuck on beads for the fruits to add more texture. The pathway was done by stamping different colors to make it look rough.
