Karachi’s Unique Bazaars

Karachi’s bazaars are as unique as the city itself so my artwork is a small combination of the types of shops you find in Karachi’s Bazaars. I used KDA market as my main inspiration. It took me around 3 to 4 hours to make because of all the tiny details. I like my art to represent a bit of me and my style so I chose to do a soft colourful background( with red,pink, yellow,, green and purple colours)and black outlining of the shops as well as colour pencil shading for more pop. In this you can find a Tailor shop on top of which there is an apartment, a stationary store, fruit stall and a big brand outlet as well as a Chaat shop. Overall this was very fun to make and had a great outcome. Thank you !

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
