Lady Femininity

Bernadette Velasquez

Description :

Fiestas are one of the most anticipated celebrations in the Philippines due to the happiness it brings to people. And in my artwork, I created a new fiesta called Lady Femininity. She brings light and hopes to every Filipina and reminds them that finding happiness within yourself makes such a difference. I applied Maximalism in my art because, like feminism, it believes that being loud and colorful in your unique way unfolds the power within you and makes the world a brighter place. By utilizing every material and magazine I found in my house, I present to you Lady Femininity.
