Happiness is an emotion that comes and goes easily. In the picture, there are ‘monster’ like hands that are trying to reach her ‘heart’. The girl in the photo (Erin) is facing the direct light with a smile upon her face while the butterflies play a part in purifying the hands. The actual meaning behind this scene is that the monsters are her sorrowful memories but she doesn’t let it affect her as her merry memories are there for her, she doesn’t let her misery bring despair onto her and always tries to move on. Expression of happiness isn’t always one type,different beings express differently.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
