The theme got me thinking about all the things that make me happy. There is so much joy in life stemming from the simplest of things such as spending a day out with your family or even just sharing a cup of coffee with your best friend. However, for me the thing that brings happiness to my soul and heart is music. Music resonates with me like no other thing. Music brings life to the party and helps me radiate positive energy and i wanted to incorporate that in my drawing. To showcase that, I drew a man sitting in a seemingly empty field on a bench simply enjoying music. The music has engulfed him and the boring surrounding appears so much brighter and joyful. In this moment, he is amused by his music and he is content and free of worry.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
