Sidra

Inaya Athar

Description :

This dress is made from cotton fabric from the open bazaars of Multan. the dress is made simple on purpose to show the incomplete work of a local darzi or darzan. The sequins were placed only on the neckline to make it look more elegant. The belt was made incomplete too on purpose to show the same idea of a pending project. At first, I hand sewed it together and then gave it to a seamstress to run it over with a sewing machine. Finally I put some sequins on it and then completed my dress, Sidra. (All the materials are sustainable and were taken from an open bazaar to enhance the experience more.)
