The Ancient Delhi Gate of Lahore.

Fatima Ikram

Description :

My work is about the Delhi Gate, that is present in Lahore. The gate was built in the Mughal Time period and was once a part of the city’s wall. It was tore down by the British in 1857. The Aga Khan Cultural Service Pakistan restored it in 2015. The color sketch shows the daily life at the ancient gate in present times. It took me 9 hours to complete this art work and is done through pencil and pencil colors. Only the name of gate was written through ball pen to show clearly the name. In my view, this is the best I ever drew and I am Proud of it and think it is a dream come true at this age to do such work.
