The Bliss of Sainthood

Aaron Mall

Description :

The smiling expression of the saint is a representation of his inner peace and joy attained through spirituality and belief. While the smile on the saint’s face may give impression of pure happiness, deeper emotions such as compassion and inner contentment may be at play too. He may have gone struggles and hardships but evolved through faith and devotion to attain sublime peace. In a crux, the happy expressions reflect his spiritual enlightenment, selflessness and commitment to leading a life of holiness and benevolence. I used soft pastels to create this art piece.
