Walled City Market Lahore

Zoya Ahmad

Description :

This is a watercolor illustration of a market in an old part of Lahore called Walled city. The illustration depicts a busy summer day in the market where there are shops selling clothes and a fruit cart. I went for more of a simplistic aesthetic in the artwork. I layered different colors on top of each other and blended them together using a little bit of water to show some depth in the drawing. I also used some acrylics to to give bold highlights. To make the drawing a bit more realistic some parts of the drawing are lighter than the rest, that is to depict sunlight reflecting on the walls and floors.
