Zama Khaar (My City)

Hania Zubair Elahi

Description :

My artwork is based on the famous bazaars of my birth city, which is Peshawar. It is famous for its food and tourism as it is one of the oldest cities in Pakistan with a recorded history that dates back to 539 BC. My work consists of a collage of the Qissa Khawani Bazaar, the Sir Cunningham Clock Tower also known as the Ghanta Ghar, Sadar, Old Peshawar (shehar), Hayattabad, and other old bazaars. Since the category, I chose was mixed media, I decided to make a collage on a canvas using prints, parts of my painting, acrylics, and other materials.
