The Beauty of the Taj Mahal

Artist Name: Zaina Usman

About Artist:

Hi! My name is Zaina, and I study at Beaconhouse Potohar Campus. Art is one of my many passions, and I love spending my free time creating it.

Artist Statement:

This artwork perfectly expresses the theme, as it features both architecture and reflections. It captures the beauty of the Taj Mahal in the morning light. I used watercolours for most of the painting. The Taj Mahal was originally built with a beautiful backstory. Shah Jahan commissioned it in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, after her passing. Today, it stands as a symbol of beauty and inspiration for many.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.
