Joy in the little things

Marryam Kamal

Description :

Happiness, an emotion that can only be understood when we go through pain and sadness. My artwork depicts children who live in poverty and hunger, the pure joy they feel when they’re given even the smallest amount of food. Even for the smallest of joys, they feel grateful. People who live in privilege like us can never know this pure unadulterated happiness, because we’re far too caught up in our busy lives to truly appreciate the little things.
