A state of Serenity

I wanted to be able to replicate the emotion of calmness or the feeling of being at peace through my artwork. My submission contains a girl as its main subject looking beyond. In order to achieve my purpose of a creating a calm environment, I put together a minimalistic background that signifies the outdoors and nature itself. The character has been surrounded by an assortment of green shades in order to signify nature as well. Her expression may be the closest thing to the feeling I could create. When we as humans ourselves are in a state of calm or see something so spellbinding that it takes our breath away we are at the highest stage of peace and euphoria itself. I chose the medium of digital art in order to challenge myself. I used many techniques and enjoyed playing around with them and learning as I move forward.
