Reaching for Happiness

A hand reaches out towards a star, holding a variety of objects in its palm. A girl dressed in pink runs through them toward the star with an arm stretched out and an enthusiastic grin on her face. All of the objects symbolize the attaining of joy in one way or another. The plants and tree symbolize growth and persistence, the gazebo symbolizes love, the lightbulbs represent ideas, the lantern guidance. The hot air balloon refers to rising above challenges to success, where the trophy and medals are present among the clouds. From there, a rainbow symbolizes luck and cheer. The girl has passed through most or all of these and has reached the star, symbolizing true happiness. I created this artwork on the digital art program Krita using a variety of brushes and blending modes to achieve a realistic, rendered look. Some parts retain their sharp lineart and shading while others are softer and more blended.
