From Pen to Paint

One of the things that is most fulfilling to me, the thing that makes me the happiest, is drawing the characters and worlds from other people’s imaginations. Ever since my friends and I discovered anime when we were much younger, we’d all been inspired to create content similar to what we liked. I specialized in the art side of things, and they into writing. We’d spend months creating elaborate worlds and stories, and I always drew the concept art all of it. It was so fulfilling working together. Eventually, we formed a creative team amongst ourselves and others, with me as the lead artist and manager. Once we got more organized and got more people into it, things got very hectic and busy, but our projects just became that much bigger and more elaborate. This piece signifies when it was just my best friend and I making stuff we just thought was cool when we were younger, when times were simpler.
