Bright, Cheerful and Bold.

Fakyha Hassan

Description :

This art piece has two perspectives. One : my culture and traditions and two: me. Both perspectives share the same idea, eventually. It is not always necessary to express feelings through words. For me, expressing happiness is portraying it through art. From perspective one, the variety of colors describes the culture and traditions I belong to. Despite individual differences, the culture allows us to present an alluring image over-all. Pakistan is a country of not hundreds but thousands of different communities, based on religion, caste and race, but in this artwork, it shows that all communities eventually combine through culture, bright, cheerful and bold. Each community plays its own role to maintain the beauty of culture. The second perspective of this artwork describes me. The colorful patterns and petals coming out of the black boundary lines shows my out of the box thinking skills as well as my efforts towards personal satisfaction. For me, prioritizing myself , and expressing who I really am, brings me an immense amount of happiness. This artwork portrays my personality, bright, cheerful and bold. The details in this case represent the different versions and sides of me , however every side includes a significant amount of optimism. Both perspectives in this work are MY way of expressing happiness.
