Architecture Reflection Painting

Artist Name: Izan Fatima

About Artist:

I love sketching, and although I enjoy painting too, sketching is my absolute favourite. I also love fighting and horse riding, and I dream of owning cars like a Lamborghini, Ferrari, and BMW. Travelling is one of my passions, and my favourite country is Japan. I enjoy anime and aspire to become a manga artist someday. My favourite colours are purple and blue. I really wish to visit Japan and live there, but above all, my cousins Noor and Fajar are the most precious and important people in my life.

Artist Statement:

The painting shows a black boat floating on calm water, with its reflection clearly mirrored below. The boat appears peaceful and still, gently drifting across the water. Above, the sky is filled with clouds that are only slightly stormy, with a few darker patches that suggest a storm might be coming. These clouds swirl lightly, creating a sense of tension, but they don’t appear too threatening. The water beneath the boat remains calm, reflecting the sky above in a smooth, mirror-like surface. There is no sunlight breaking through the clouds, leaving the sky to feel a little heavy and overcast. The contrast between the serene water, the black boat, and the slightly stormy clouds adds a sense of quiet anticipation, as if nature is holding its breath. The painting captures the peaceful moment just before a storm, showing nature’s beauty and its power.
