My name is Rumaysa Faisal Khan, and I am from Beaconhouse Valencia Town Campus, Lahore. I am currently 13 years old. Since I was a young girl, I have always loved art. This passion has helped me win numerous awards in various competitions, whether international or inter-school. I often paint to feel relaxed, and I usually express my emotions through my artwork.
Artist Statement:
This painting shows a rainy day scene in a part of the city. It illustrates how rain transforms the city’s view, making it softer and more colorful through its reflections. The girl holding the umbrella represents people reflecting on themselves when they are alone. This artwork is mainly about finding beauty every day in the smallest and simplest things, and taking time in this busy world to pause and think about yourself.
