I am Umamah Shahnaz, a Grade 8 student at Beaconhouse Potohar Campus, with a deep passion for art, especially painting. My artistic journey began at the age of eight, when I started drawing imaginative figures. Art has always been a way for me to express my thoughts and emotions, allowing me to bring the images in my mind to life on paper. It provides me with a sense of relief and fulfillment, serving as both an outlet for creativity and a means of personal expression.
Artist Statement:
Nature’s art is a beautiful reminder of the calm and peace all around us. In this sea view, soft pastels show how the sky and water come together in perfect harmony. The shadows on the water make it look like a mirror, reflecting the world above. Just like the sea changes from calm to wild, life has its ups and downs, but there is always beauty to be found. The shadows remind us that even in darker times, there is always light. When we stop and look at the world around us, we can see how much peace is waiting for us, just like the calm water. This painting teaches us that no matter what happens, we can find moments of quiet reflection and beauty in nature, helping us feel relaxed and inspired.
