Albert Hall Museum

Artist Name: Zul Nourain Rai

About Artist:

I’m Zul Nourain Rai, an A-Level Art and Design student at BCP Bahria Town. My artistic journey is one of constant exploration and discovery. I’m always learning and growing as an artist. Art is more than just a subject for me; it’s how I express myself and connect with others.

Artist Statement:

In this painting, I’ve tried to capture the ethereal play of light and reflection within the Albert Hall Museum using watercolours. The architecture acts as a canvas for light. Its domes and intricate windows filter the sun, creating a dance of shadows and illumination. I focused on the interplay between light and surfaces, observing how it bounces and refracts. This creates a sense of depth and wonder. Mirrored elements and polished surfaces amplify this effect, transforming the museum’s interior. The result is a kaleidoscope of light a dynamic experience I’ve aimed to translate onto paper.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.
