About Artist:
I’m a 15-year-old O-level student at Beaconhouse Allama Iqbal Town Senior Campus Lahore with a passion for creativity and innovation. Inspired by my spiritual experience at the Badshahi Mosque, I designed a captivating 3D model that showcases the convergence of tradition, light, and reflection. Using everyday materials, I crafted a unique projector-like box that highlights the mosque’s beauty. My project demonstrates my imagination, resourcefulness, and dedication to preserving cultural heritage. I’m eager to continue exploring the intersection of art, culture, and technology.
Artist Statement:
The inspiration for this 3D model came from a memorable visit to the Badshahi Mosque on eid day, where I offered eid prayers and experienced a deep connection to its spiritual significance. The awe of standing in such a historical space, filled with reverence and prayers, left an indelible mark on me. I prepared a cut-out of the mosque, printed sky on sticker sheets, pasted colored papers and used it as the screen for a projector-like box. LED light strips on the back wall cast a glow that makes the mosque seem to come to life. I showed how light and reflection could amplify the mosque’s beauty. The reflection of the sky and clouds above adds a serene touch. This model embodies the convergence of tradition, light, and reflection, mirroring my profound experience at the mosque on eid day.
