My name is Eshaal Majid. I study in Grade 7 and am passionate about creating different DIY projects. In my free time, I love to cuddle up with a good book and let my imagination go on an amazing journey. Art is the subject that gives me the most joy; I’m happiest when I have an easel in front of me and a paintbrush in my hand. I’m a shy person with a few close friends who know me well.
Artist Statement:
Architecture is a balance between light and dark, shaping space, mood, and meaning. In my artwork, I depict a castle as a symbol of strength and mystery, where illumination and shadow interact to tell a deeper story. Light reveals the intricate details of its structure, while darkness evokes a sense of the unknown, hinting at lost histories and untold secrets. The castle stands as both a refuge and a relic, embodying contrasts past and present, grandeur and decay, security and solitude. Architecture holds memories and emotions, shaped by the passage of time. Through this piece, I explore not just the physical form of the castle but its atmosphere, where light brings life and shadow deepens its mystery. It is a tribute to the power of architectural storytelling, where every stone holds echoes of the past.
