The empress market was built between the years 1884 and 1889.it was designed by the architect names James starchan the governor of bombay laid the foundation stone himself AJ Attfield was a firm that took the liberty to complete the market foundtaion Mehmood Niwan and Dullo khejoo the two most important people who owned a construction company that helped make this building into existance nearly after 80 years of its existance a swarm of different vendors and traders were seen taking intrest in the market to open shops and start selling items around the city the market was equipped with some huge powerful gates making the market extremely safe the original size of this market was 130ft long and 100ft wide with 4 galleries each 46ft wide that can houses upto 280 shopes and it was arranged in the most beatiful manner possible busiet and oldest markets located in karachi the name of this famous market derivied from Queen Victoria i have use pointers pencil and skecthbook paper

The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
