I have made the most famous and old markets of my city, Empress Market. It is a Mix Market which includes General Goods also on Wholesale Price. People from all over the city come here to purchase different items of their choice. It is situated in the Saddar Town. The market traces its origins to the British Raj era, when it was first constructed. Today, it is amongst the most popular and busy places for shopping in Karachi. Commodities sold in the Empress Market range from condiments, fruit, vegetables and meat to stationery material, textiles and pets. A recreational park called Jahangir Park also is located nearby.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
