Expressing Happiness Through A Memory

Description :

This is a painting of a photo my father took of my older sister and me when we went swimming with him in a small lake near our city during the hot summers. I remember splashing around and playing all evening in the lake. This memory brings joy to my heart and I wanted to express that joy on paper. I used water paints and colored pencils for this piece. This painting depicts my perspective that happiness is not always expressed through a person’s facial expression but can also be expressed through a memory.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
