Glory

Zuhair Asif

Description :

For me happiness is winning the cricket match against Indian to bring glory to our beloved country Pakistan. In this mixed media art first of all I primed the canvas with gesso to harden the surface. Then I applied a layer of tissue and magazine as a texture. Then I pasted lace and designs and added another layer of gesso and texture design. I used cardboard to make bricks in the background. Then I painted it with yellow color. I cut some design with holes on simple paper, put it on the canvas and painted with multiple colors as a background. I made bat and ball with clay and let it dry for one day, colored them and pasted on canvas. I also pasted the picture of Baber Azam as he is the shining star of cricket. Like Baber, I also want to bring glory to my country one day. There are two stars on the bat, which represent my parents who are my shining stars and my motivation.
