I have drawn a scene from a market place. A woman is busy buying grocery from a vegetable stall. Behind, her son is inspecting the vegetables. I have drawn the scene on poster card. I have chosen acrylic paint for my drawing. The reason for choosing acrylic paint is that they are very easy to use. They give a smooth texture to the painting and you can mix them to earn your desired colour.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
