Going into this artwork I knew I was probably going to draw something I’m experienced and comfortable in which is stylized portraits, This artwork consists of a blue haired girl with glowing butterflies surrounding her and one lands on her face so she’s just observing those butterflies. I drew a face first off, drew the anatomical structure and then slowly added facial features, hair, etc. and since it looked a bit boring I added blue glowing butterflies to make it interesting! I made this painting on clip studio and I usually don’t do digital painting but I am pretty happy with the outcome!

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
