A few days ago I was going to a place called MagnifiScience and stopped at Zainab market since there was a lot of traffic. I observed the view outside as there was nothing to do during that time. A few days later when I found out about this competition I used my memory, imagination, and creativity to make my artwork since the topic was “A marketplace”. The wires resemble a typical Karachi area, the banners represent a special event, and the blinds in the building represent the appartments in Zainab market since the shops are on the bottom floor and there are appartments on top. I am very happy about how my artwork turned out.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
