The Crossover of two Worlds

Kashaf Zahra

Description :

“The Crossover of two Worlds” is an Art work that portrays the different settings of two different environments. One being cold, harsh and the other being strong and warm. The tree on the left symbolizes and serves as a metaphor for growth. I tend to focus on the leaves and greenery of the tree that indicates the purity and the softness of the environment. The background and the nature aren’t shown because, what we see is the outside but many people tend to ignore and not notice the inside of what is shown. While focusing on the right side there stands a tree rotting and it’s ends bursting out which I like to present as a way of showing lack of self control. It’s environment is harsh and brutal, which shows signs of illnesses and abuse in the tree itself. The lack of leaves portray the lack of hope and belief. There is deep meaning hidden in this simple artwork which shows that the environment you grow up in can affect you in brilliant and not so brilliant ways. If you have hope, motivation and determination…. You’ll be the strongest there ever is. But, if you’re filled with anger and frustration you’ll be lacking the will to live. That is to put it simply.
