Description :

My artwork is about playing sports. I find sports a very fun thing to do. My favourite sports are basketball and netball. My artwork shows a girl playing netball herself. I used different shades of blue for the shirt(darkest blue, dark blue, medium, light, lightest) and for her skin, I made some parts darker and the other parts slightly lighter. The other two are silhouettes – one is catching the ball, the other is shooting it into the goal. For the smiley faces, I just coloured them in yellow(for the skin), white(for the teeth) and red (for the tounge). Thank you!

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
