This is a bright and colourful market close to my place. It is known as the Gulf shopping mall. Everytime I visit this place, I see a busy environment with women bargaining and some exploring around. This painting depicts what I mostly comes in my mind when I think of the Gulf shopping mall. I have made some building behinds the bazaar as this area has mostly buildings around it. There is a broad entrance to the market with shops on both sides. Colour clothes and other items are hung in the shops. I have painted a laces shop and a clothes and bedsheet shop.

Mixed Media Art:

Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.

Art Work will be submitted in the form of images. Below are the image submission specifications.

  • Supported Image formats: The image may be uploaded in any one of the formats i.e. JPG/JPEG or PNG
  • Allowed file sizes: The image size should not exceed 10MB.
  • Dimensions for Image: The images should be in landscape mode.
