About Artist:
I am a 13-year-old girl who loves to paint using watercolors and use markers to enhance my work. This project was very different from what I usually paint, so it was a great opportunity to try something new.
Artist Statement:
I was inspired to draw a train station from my home country to represent its vintage, historic structures and to highlight their beauty.
Mixed Media Art:
Mixed media is a term used to describe artworks composed from a combination of different media or materials. Students can combine a variety of media and artistic techniques to create the Art piece. The painting and drawing techniques may include layering, texturizing, slicing, weaving, collage and creating a peeled paint effect. The materials that can be used vary from cloth, wood, paper, paint, metal, stones, and more. In this type of art different media or materials are mixed into one piece.
