I’m Hashim. I study Art and Design in O Levels and have been making art for almost my entire life. Creating art is how I express my love for nature.
Artist Statement:
This piece is a reflection of us all. Like cats, we choose the safety of our shadowed homes over the vast, untamed world beyond. Though adventure calls, we remain where it’s familiar where comfort outweighs the fear of the unknown. Cats domesticated themselves, just as we, too, cage ourselves within routine. Using soft pastels, I blended a dreamlike haze to capture the quiet tragedy of yearning for more, yet never daring to leave.
